Handing Out Idols
For those of you in the Corpus Christi Bay Area Church leadership who gave millions of dollars of prizes like cars and televisions to entice people to come to your Easter Sunday church services... I have a couple questions for you. The lost soul that came and was given a prize, do you think they drove home from your service thankful for God's gift of redemption or thankful for their new car? Or the lost soul that didn't get the prize they hoped for, did the walk away from your service praising God for His Son's sacrifice, or disappointed that they didn't get a prize? When you hand out idols at the door of a church to entice people to come, the result may be a big church but it will never be a strong church.
