Genesis 2:18 - And the LORD God said, “It is not good that man should be alone; I will make him a helper comparable to him.”

“A helper [that is] comparable to him”.

There is this thought in some Christian circles that because woman was made to be a “helper” that there can be no comparison between the importance of their role and the role of man.

But God saying that woman was created to be a helper to man does not mean He excluded man from being a helper to women… we’re all helpers. When my wife and I realized that my role is to help her fulfill her role and her role is to help me fulfill my role - that's when our roles became “comparable”… and we’ve found that when we fulfill our roles, our roles become lighter.
