Genesis 1:1 - In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.
I believe this verse and will not allow doubt to creep in to my mind about the formation of the world because if God is big enough and powerful enough to create everything I see, then He is big enough and powerful enough to command everything I see… I need a God that big because if He is in control, then I don’t have to be in control…
This must be a foundational belief… if you believe Genesis 1:1 then the rest of the Bible will be easy to believe. If you don’t believe Genesis 1:1 then you are going to have huge and irresolvable problems with the rest of the Bible.
